For five years AquaMundo GmbH took over full operational responsibility for the water supply and sewerage system of U.K. Kavajë sh.a. under a performance-based management contract.

Main performance objectives were:

Increase hours of water supply service to costumers, starting from 4-6 h/day to 24h/day
Identify and legalize illegal connections
Reduce significantly "Unaccounted for Water"
Increase the "Bill Collection Rate" up to 95%
Supervision of investments in water and sanitation (rehabilitate the city sewer system, build nad operate a slow sand filter for water treatment etc.)
Build and operate first wastewater treatment plant in Albania
